So glad to see the place is in good hands. I spent a lot of time there as a child. My great grandfather was William Grant and he and my uncle Kin told me so many stories that the place came to life.

I played there often when Joe Sullivan was in charge and I find it a bit hard to look at the rooms "from a distance" when I used to play on the furniture and look at the photo albums.

I'm looking forward to bringing my granddaughters there this summer to pass the history on!

Spent many summers at Meldrum Bay and always enjoyed visiting the lighthouse and swimming. My kids still talk about the fun they had at the lighhouse and visiting uncle lawrence and aunt meril, all good memories.

I'm new to the island, and decided to take a trip to the Mississagi Lighthouse. I was awed. I felt like I had stepped back in time as I wandered through the living quarters. I could hardly believe this gem of a place even existed - just the way it was many years ago. I then went into the Foghorn building to find it had been converted into a restaurant, but still in keeping with the way it must have been in years gone past. I met Mary, who was delightful, and regaled me with tales of rum runners, shipwrecks, and the families of the lighthouse. Thank you Mary, for the lovely visit and lunch. I definitely recommend this landmark to anyone visiting Manitoulin Island. ~Janet (Whitesea)~

Brian and i travelled all through Manitoulin Island in july 2/07 and made a special trip in 2/07 to Mississagi Light house that was a trip that i will never forget i see the pictures every day of that trip as they are hanging on my wall i have such fond memerios of the Mississagi light house if you want to get away and have a peice of mind and see such beuty visit Mississga Light hose Manitoulin island I love light houses

spend a few days in july up there, great food at the foghorn restaurant, MMMM some of the best home cooked meals me and my daughter had in awhile, and OMG the home made FUDGE is to die for
