Mississagi Lighthouse Camping Info and Rates

Our 35+ wilderness campground was developed for the pleasure of campers who seek isolation and privacy.

We love hearing from our campers who enjoy activities from sunset watching to fishing the great strait.

All sites come with a picnic table and personal fire pit. Washroom and shower facilities are also available. In the past few years a few hydro/water hookup sites have also been added.

Our reservation system is based on first come or first reserved. We encourage all campers, even our seasonal members to choose, or at least try more then one site, in the event of your favorite site being booked so you can still come and enjoy the leisure activities you’ve come to love at our location. Cancellations MUST be given in advance and sites without late arrival notice will only be held for one night.

Membership Applications are available to returning campers. Please email us for the application form so that you will be entitled to our discount rates.

All campers must register at the restaurant before entering the campground by 8pm, and departure by 1pm. Ice/Wood is available for purchase at the restaurant. A full list of campground rates, rules and a map of the park is on display at the restaurant and is also available below

The Mississagi Lighthouse’s 10 Simple Steps to Happy Camping!
  1. *** All Pets MUST be leashed at ALL TIMES. Do not allow your pets to relieve themselves in areas that are for public use or in neighboring campsites. Its unsanitary for children and will attract unwanted wildlife. It is also appreciated that people scoop after their pets. Keep in mind we are one of the few campsites left that allow pets, and we want everyone to enjoy their vacation.
  2. Check in at the restaurant and quote your membership# with your payment to get your discounted rate. If needed, order firewood for nightly delivery.
Check out time is by 1pm max.
  3. Drive at Idling speed (max 15km/hour) to your site to unload and set up.
  4. Keep your site clean. Trash bins are located throughout the park. Recycling of Cans, glass and cardboard are available at the wood shed or leave beside bin for us to collect.
  5. Noise is to be at a minimum from 11pm-5am. Some of us have to still work.
  6. ***Fireworks are ONLY permitted when the management is notified 24 hours in advance so we are able to inform other campers with pets who might scare easily. Fireworks are also to be used ONLY at the beach at our designated area NOT in the campground.
  7. Hiking is allowed only past the campground “onto and right of” the marked Hiking Trail. To the left is private property and past the cottage at the entrance is now forbidden due to the location of Lafarge. They are too close and Blast Daily. We want to ensure your future in hiking is not short lived.
  8. Boat launch is also at your own risk and we require that ABSOLUTELY NO vehicles, trailers or random objects be left on the beach due to safety and liability concerns. Also launching boats at bay/mooring area is not permitted, to avoid damage to boats already there.
  9. Fisherman using the mooring area are asked to respect other campers and only take up the minimum space required and keep the area clean. Freezer space is available at the restaurant. Mark your fish with Name and Site #.
  10. Items such as TREES and PICNIC TABLES belonging to the park are not to be cut or moved. If you request changes to your site such as brush removal, or your fire pit emptied, please make your request at the restaurant. Changes are for us to make, You are on vacation.
  11. ***RULE BREAKERS MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY
  12. Enjoy yourself and remember you are in Nature so respect your surroundings and you will be in awe of its beauty in return. Now go catch that sunset!

Remember when visiting please leash your pets and clean up after them.

Recycling of aluminum cans and glass bottles. you can drop them off at the woodshed, instead of throwing them in the garbage cans.
